Sing Jade Yi is currently pursuing a master’s degree at the University of Southern California, Annenberg Program on Online Communities. She is a Southern California native, and received her BA at University of California, San Diego with a double major in Economics and Psychology.  She moved back to Los Angeles to pursue a career in the non-profit sector focusing on online communications.  Working at the Zimmer Children’s Museum, the only children’s museum in Los Angeles, Sing helps develop the Communication department

Sing has a strong passion for working with kids and developing educational programs that promote leadership in the community.  She hopes to empower children to make the world a better place through education, creativity and mentorship.  Additionally, she is the Director of Social Media and Marketing for Camp Ohana Foundation, which is a 501(C)(3) organization that helps underprivileged and orphaned children in Western Kenya.  Camp Ohana’s mission is to help develop these children into compassionate adults who are successful leaders in their communities.  Sing’s current project is raising funds to rebuild Camp Ohana’s current clubhouse into the first children’s library in Western Kenya through online communications and social media platforms.

When Sing is not pursuing her goals to inspire young individuals, she enjoys baking sweets of all sorts, running, and making handmade novelties.

Lauren has a unique background in both digital and social media. She began her professional career straight out of high school working for Pulllin Television/ Disruptive Studios, a reality television production company based in Los Angeles. Over her six years there, from an office assistant to a production coordinator, production manager, line producer and then coordinating producer on all of their in-house productions, including three network shows for the Speed Channel, as well as shows for FOX Sports Net and FOX College Sports. During her time at Pullin Television, she became versed in all production elements including management, budgets, software, crewing, and equipment.

In an effort to combine her personal passion with her academic pursuits, Lauren began attending Loyola Marymount University to study communications. While a full-time student, Lauren took her unique production background and began working for Alexis DeJoria Racing, part of the Tequila Patrón Racing team, as their social/digital media and public relations coordinator for their National Hot Rod Association Drag Racing team. She enters USC as an APOC grad student after graduating Magna Cum Laude from Loyola Marymount University in 2013 with a B.A. in Communication Studies.

When she is not being a habitual student, Lauren spends her free time being a huge LA Kings fan and enjoys spending time with her dog Ripley (named after the character in the movie Alien, believe it or not). The self-proclaimed nerd is also a huge fan of all things Aaron Sorkin and can quote the first four seasons of The West Wing verbatim. Lauren even focused her undergrad research paper at LMU on the latest Sorkin show, The Newsroom. This paper has been accepted to the Western States Communication Associations conference where she will be presenting in February 2014. Her aspirations for the future are as big as her personality; she hopes to one day run her own media relations firm focusing on integrated marketing.
